In 2007, ARF rescued an amazing 1,716 dogs and cats from death row at local shelters. While this is indeed a remarkable number, thousands more who need ARF’s help will make their way through its doors in years to come. Each will require food, shelter, vaccinations, toys and love during their stay at ARF. Your hard-earned fundraising efforts for Paws on Parade will help ensure these precious creatures are placed into new loving homes. That's why ARF needs your help!
Money raised from Paws on Parade will also help ARF animals rescue people. In 2007, 56,570 people were rescued through ARF’s innovative people connect programs, including Teaching Loving Care (TLC), Camp ARF, Visiting Animals Program (VAP), ARF’s Learning Center and others. Each program is a fine example of ARF’s mission – People Rescuing Animals…Animals Rescuing People®.
Every day an abandoned animal cries out for ARF’s help. Every day, people – children, seniors, at-risk youth, low-income families, are also in need of ARF’s help through animal interaction. The good news is ARF is in the community helping both animals and people. However, ARF can’t do it alone – ARF needs support from people like you!
