Mother Nature put her best foot forward, bringing sunny skies to both of ARF’s 2008 Celebrities FORE! ARF golf tournaments.

The California event was held Monday, April 14 at Contra Costa Country Club in Pleasant Hill, and to everyone’s delight, there were no April showers to spoil the fun. Celebrity golfers included Bert Campaneris, Dwight Clark, Tommy Davis, Dennis Eckersley, Al Fitzmorris and others. Thanks to fabulous corporate sponsors AT&T, Anheuser-Busch, At-the-Plate, Glenn and Diane Colacurci, Maddie’s Fund, PMI Foundation, Dick sand Marsha Servetnick and others American Airlines stepped up to the plate as the official airline sponsor for both events and Renaissance ClubSport hosted guests in California.
Monday, June 16, brought Celebrities FORE! ARF to beautiful Glen Echo Country Club in St. Louis, Missouri. The usual mid-west high temperatures and humidity were nowhere to be found, making for a glorious day. The generosity of sponsors AT&T, Ameren, Anheuser-Busch, At-the-Plate, Edward Jones, Emerson, Natoli Engineering, Precor, Purina ONE, Rex Sinquefield and others helped set the stage for more than 150 golfers, including a crowd of St. Louis Cardinals and other celebrities. They included Rick Ankiel, Sal Bando, Joe Buck, Chris Duncan, Al Hrabosky, Bob Knight, John Mabry, Mike Matheny, Aaron Miles, Mark Mulder and loads more. Westin St. Louis generously provided accommodations for celebrity guests and Nestlé Purina secured volunteers from their employee roster to assist ARF staff with event logistics. Both tournaments were rounded out with on-course games, wine, margarita and rum holes, along with raffles and silent auctions.
