Zappa
Zappa

cats

Zappa is a busy and friendly dog with a zest for life. Just over a year old, this Bull Terrier/Poodle mix is intelligent and spunky. He’s available to families with children 14 years and older who have prior terrier experience. In addition to enjoying people, Zappa like other dogs and would make a good second dog.

ShermanDear ARF,

I meant to send you a note to tell you how we are doing!

Kerman is now Sherman, the German, and is a dream dog! He sleeps very well in the house, and knows that it's quiet time when we go to bed. Sherman walks on leash very well, and never barks. Sherman gets three walks a day and enjoys smelling and seeing all the sights. He enjoys squeaky toys and loves to throw and catch them. He has quickly integrated into our household routine and is a joy.

We have an 18-year-old-cat that was initially none to pleased with a new canine in the house. The information that ARF provided was very helpful in getting the two acquainted. It took a full week to let the two be in the same room. We moved the animals between rooms and kept the doors closed until there was gradual acceptance. Last night the two of them sat in the middle of the kitchen together and watched as I prepared food. I would say the careful introduction of these two was the biggest challenge we faced.

This is the second dog that we have adopted from ARF and both of them have been wonderful additions to our family. I believe that ARF dogs have fewer issues because of the special care and attention that they receive. I recommend ARF to anyone that is thinking of rescuing a dog.

Thank you so much for all the work you do. Sherman will have a long and happy life in our family!

Thanks, ARF!

You can help other animals like Sherman find their special homes by making an online donation on our secure server today!
