Please register one week prior to the start date of the class. In order for the class to run as scheduled, a minimum of five participants must be enrolled. Participants have the option of transferring to another session of their choice if the class is cancelled and paid for in advance. Classes for Pre-school - 5th grade
All Ears Reading™
Ages 3-12
Reading with animals is a great way to improve your child’s reading skills. Join us in a relaxed, non-judgmental and encouraging environment with trained pet teams. The class will meet for five weeks and at each session we will read animal related stories to the animals on ARF’s therapy team. Children will have the opportunity to listen and interact with the story or read aloud to the animals depending on their reading level. Children may re-register for as many 5 week sessions as desired for a fee. Please submit applications at least one week in advance.

Kind Kids Club
Grades 1-5
Students will learn about animal companionship, pet care and behavior while having fun. Each week will focus on a different pet related topic, and through hands on activities, crafts and games, children will learn the value and responsibility of being a pet guardian. This class may be repeated up to three times before course material will repeat. Please submit applications at least one week in advance.

Animal Arts
Ages 10-18
Animal Arts is an introductory painting class which will explore basic drawing techniques, watercolors and acrylic painting mediums. Students will learn fundamental concepts (including value, color, proportions and composition) by drawing and learning about our furry four-legged friends. "Live models" will be present and include some of ARF's friendly Pet Hug Pack members, as well as shelter cats and dogs. Lessons are two hours in length and will meet once a week for five consecutive weeks. Students will be encouraged to practice outside of class time and will be provided all materials to create their masterpieces. To register for this unique artistic experience, please submit a classes application. The class is first come, first serve, limit 10 students. No prior ARF experience is needed. Who knows, you might be the next Picatso or DogVinci!
